vision statement:ransom cafe is dedicated to reaching the needs of those around us both physically and spiritually, showing christ's love through acts of service. by serving all people no matter their economic situation giving them a hand up and not a hand out. ransom cafe educate others to cook and eat on a limited budget through cooking classes and side by side training.  in this manner, ranson cafe eliminates hunger, malnutrition, spiritual and physical poverty one person at a time. mission statement:"ransom cafe exists to combat physical and spiritual hunger throughout the world by using quality fresh ingredients in the food we serve, helping others to learn to cook and about food preparation, job preparedness, participating in community missions, and showing the love of jesus through acts of service." ransom cafe is a place where people can come and find nourishment both physical and spiritual. a place where people are able to have one of life's basic necessities met. this is a place to build relationships and to love our neighbors in a tangible way. ransom operates with an ever changing menu. our menu depends on donations and foods that are able to be purchased at little to no cost. we do not have set prices on any of our menu items. we believe that some can pay more and some may not be able to pay as much, but the ones who can will pay for the ones who can't. if someone can't afford to donate monetarily, then they can donate their time or products, or produce to be used in the preparation of the meals. we promote the ideal of a hand up not a hand out. we do realize that there may be some special circumstances and we will work with every individual to try to meet their needs. we are open for lunch 11 am until 2 pm and also on wednesday nights and the second friday night of each month for dinner using theme nights and guest chef nights. a complete list of locations with hours of operation can be found on the home page. it is our desire that ransom cafe gives to the community. we want to not only provide a basic need, but also offer a mentoring program to help people learn valuable skills in the hospitality industry so they can obtain and keep employment. cooking classes are offered for all ages and backgrounds. we hope to give people a basic knowledge to help them with their daily life and a sense of community so that they feel a part of something good. donations not needed for the daily operations of the cafe go towards sponsoring these events and school activities, community outreach projects, overseas missions and other programs with common goals. we also bring in mission teams for projects like home improvements and backyard bible clubs. ransom cafe is the place that we start our journey of going into the entire world and loving our neighbors as ourselves. please let us know if you are interested in learning more or having us come speak to your church, bible study group, business, or community organization. we would appreciate the opportunity to share with them how they can be involved with our mission and encourage them to use the gifts god has given them in their own place of ministry.
